Suitable for homes on tank water rainwater supply to the whole home for sediment and cyst reduction, Protozoa such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium can be filtered out by a 1-micron filter. Bacteria: Some bacteria can be filtered out by a 1-micron filter, though smaller bacteria may pass through.
It's important to note that the effectiveness of a 1 micron filter can vary depending on factors such as flow rate, water pressure, and the specific design of the filter. For complete water purification, especially from smaller pathogens like viruses, additional filtration methods such as UV treatment or chemical disinfection may be necessary.
