About

Filtermaster is a trusted brand of premium pool filter equipment, providing optimal performance for over five decades. With tough and durable fiberglass-wound sand or micro glass filter options, Filtermaster has proven to be the leader in NZ for reliable backyard pool needs.

Why choose a Filtermaster Pool Filter?

Our Heavy-Duty pool filter offers exceptional performance, durability, and low maintenance. A UV-protected fiberglass tank and ergonomically designed six-position multiport valve ensure a robust filtering action while resisting corrosion and chemical damage. A quality pressure gauge keeps you informed of the operating pressure. Invest in reliable filtration for your pool today.

Sand vs. Glass Media, which is better?

Glass filter media provides vastly superior filtration compared to sand, capable of capturing particles down to 0.01mm in diameter. They are also highly effective at neutralizing microorganisms such as bacteria and algae cells, a capability far beyond that of traditional sand filters. Get the best filtration with our glass media.

Glass filter media provides an 8-year lifespan, significantly longer than sand that lasts 5 years, making it a reliable and durable option for pool filtration.

How does the pool filter work?

Filtermaster Sand Filters feature improved water circulation through a balanced layout of lateral nozzles positioned internally at the base of the filter tank. This enables water to be distributed evenly throughout the entire filter bed, trapping debris and contaminants before pure fresh water returns via the multiport valve to the pool. Maintenance is minimal, and they come with a long-lasting warranty, making them the natural solution for perfectly filtered pools.

What size filters do you have?

Filtermaster offers a range of pool filter sizes to suit different pool sizes and filtration needs. The available filter sizes typically include options designed to handle various pool capacities, measured in gallons or liters. Common filter sizes you might find from Filtermaster include:

  1. Small or Residential Filters: Designed for smaller residential pools or above-ground pools, these filters usually have a lower flow rate and are suitable for pools with a lower water volume.

  2. Medium Filters: Versatile and capable of handling a wide range of pool sizes, including standard backyard in-ground pools.

  3. Large or Commercial Filters: Designed to handle larger pools, such as commercial swimming pools, community pools, or water parks. They have a higher flow rate and larger filter capacity to accommodate larger volumes of water.

The specific filter sizes offered by Filtermaster can vary based on the model and product line. It's recommended to check their official website or contact their customer support for the most up-to-date information on available filter sizes and their corresponding pool capacities.

When choosing a filter size, it's essential to consider factors such as your pool's water volume, usage frequency, and whether you want to minimize maintenance by choosing a larger filter with higher capacity. Properly sizing your pool filter ensures optimal performance and efficient filtration for your pool.
