Performance

NSF58 certification completed & pending

Material safety – chemical extraction
Structural integrity – cyclic and hyrdostatic
Contaminant reduction – Total dissolved solids, VOC, cyst, etc.

NSF/ANSI 58 is the American National Standard for point-of-use (POU) reverse osmosis (RO) systems. It was developed by a joint committee with equal representation from regulators, manufacturers and end users. This standard includes requirements addressing various aspects of these systems, including:

  • > Safety of materials in contact with drinking water
  • > Structural integrity
  • > TDS (total dissolved solids) reduction performance
  • > Efficiency rating
  • > Recovery rating
  • > Contaminant reduction performance
  • > Information for the end us

STAGE 3 -  Membrane Removes up to 99% of the total dissolved solids and contaminants. Replace every 24 months

STAGE 4 – Carbon Post Filter (HDGT-CB5P) – Removes dissolved gases, tastes, and odors from the holding tank water Replace Every 12 Months

Options

  • A remineralizer is generally used to add beneficial minerals back into water, particularly after a process like reverse osmosis which can remove most minerals. This can sometimes result in a slight increase in pH, making the water less acidic. However, the main purpose is not to reduce pH but to improve the mineral content and taste of the water.

Why add this?

Reverse osmosis (RO) water tends to be slightly acidic due to its lack of minerals. In the process of reverse osmosis, most minerals, including alkaline minerals, are removed from the water, resulting in a lower pH level. Generally, RO water tends to have a pH slightly below neutral, but it's important to note that the exact pH may vary depending on specific circumstances.
