BKDF = Kinetic Degradation Fluxion & GAC Granulated Activated Carbon
Effectively reduce unwanted tastes and odors, including chlorine taste & odor from your drinking water. They are designed to allow maximum contact between the water and carbon, ensuring optimal adsorption. GAC Series Cartridges are available in a variety of sizes and flow rates and provide good general-purpose drinking water filtration.
GAC filters are well-known for their highly efficient reduction of chlorine taste and odor, as well as other tastes and odors of many organic chemicals and volatile organic compounds.
KDF 55 granules are designed for removing or reducing chlorine and soluble heavy metals. They are also used for controlling scale, bacteria, and algae.
Removes/reduces
Iron, Hydrogen Sulphide,
Heavy metals in drinking water are a significant health threat. KDF® 55, KDF 85 and KDF-C media can remove up to 98% of soluble lead, mercury, and other dissolved metals.
This 10" Heavy Duty Standard size housing is perfect for mains pressure water filtration. It is Ideal to filter all cold water to your kitchen faucet without needing an extra tap on the benchtop and ensures minimal pressure drop.

Installation
Step 1: Shut Off Water Supply
- Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher by shutting off the cold-water feed under the sink.
Step 2: Disconnect Dishwasher Water Feed Line
- Locate the cold-water feed line under the sink that supplies the dishwasher.
-
Use an adjustable wrench to disconnect the 1/2" flexi hose that runs from the water supply to the dishwasher.
Step 3: Fit the brass 1/2" male threads
locate the brass threaded fitting supplied with the filter to the inlet and outlet of the filter using thread tape.
Step 4: Connect 1/2" Flexi Hose to Filter Inlet
- Take one of the new 1/2" stainless steel flexi hoses and wrap the threads with Teflon tape to ensure a tight seal.
- Attach one end of the new hose to the water supply connection (where the dishwasher was previously connected).
- Connect the other end of this hose to the inlet of your underbench water filter system.
Step 4: Connect the Filter Outlet to the Dishwasher and Faucet
- Take the second 1/2" stainless steel flexi hose and attach one end to the outlet of the water filter.
- Attach the other end of this hose to the existing kitchen faucet's cold-water feed connection. Ensure both connections are secure.
Step 5: Reconnect the Dishwasher Water Feed
- Using the same 1/2" hose, connect the dishwasher back to the kitchen faucet’s cold-water feed. This ensures both the faucet and dishwasher are supplied with filtered water.
Step 6: Turn On Water and Check for Leaks
- Slowly turn the water supply back on.
- Check all connections for leaks, including the inlet and outlet of the filter housing, and the connections to the faucet and dishwasher.
Step 7: Flush the System
- Run water through the kitchen faucet for a few minutes to flush out any air or particles from the filter system.
