The alkalinity of the AIM-ALKA-2 filter comes from a simple but powerful chemical reaction between the water and the Magnesium Oxide (MgO) ceramic balls inside the cartridge.

Mineral Balls / Ceramic Media: The filter contains approximately 230–250g of ceramic balls (including magnesium oxide). These slowly dissolve as water passes through, releasing minerals.
Key Minerals Added: It primarily adds calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium.
