Stage 2 RO Prefilter – 5 Micron Carbon Block

Stage 2 RO Prefilter – 5 Micron Carbon Block

Keep your reverse osmosis system maintained with this replacement stage 2 carbon block prefilter. Made with coconut shell activated carbon, it reduces chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odours before water reaches the RO membrane.

A practical choice for routine filter changes in RO systems that use a compatible standard 10-inch cartridge housing and specify a 5-micron carbon block at stage 2.

Key features

• Stage 2 carbon prefiltration: For installation in the carbon prefilter stage of compatible RO systems.
• Chlorine, taste and odour reduction: Coconut shell activated carbon treats incoming water ahead of the RO membrane.
• 5-micron nominal filtration: Helps capture fine sediment and particles.
• Silver-impregnated carbon: Includes a silver antibacterial agent within the filter media. This is not a water-disinfection treatment.
• Replaceable cartridge: Fits compatible standard cartridge housings rather than proprietary quick-change connections.

Compatibility – check before ordering

Suitable for RO systems across different brands where the housing dimensions, cartridge fit and required filtration specification match this filter. It is not a universal fit for every RO system: proprietary, encapsulated and quick-change systems may require a different cartridge.

Check your existing cartridge and system manual before ordering, particularly the housing clearance, cartridge dimensions and specified stage 2 filter type. The listed 73 mm diameter differs from the nominal 2.5-inch size designation, so confirm physical fit rather than relying on the size label alone.

Replacement and care

Replace and flush the cartridge according to your RO system manufacturer's instructions. Replacement frequency depends on water quality, usage and the system's maintenance schedule.
