Filter Media
GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) has long been used to reduce chlorine, improve taste, and eliminate odors in drinking water due to its strong absorption capabilities.
This filter also features KDF 55 media, specifically designed to remove or reduce chlorine and water-soluble heavy metals. It also provides limited control of scale, bacteria, and algae. The KDF media has been tested and certified by NSF International to meet NSF/ANSI Standard 42.
KDF is known for its ability to kill algae and fungi, control bacteria growth, and effectively remove chlorine, pesticides, organic matter, rust, unpleasant tastes and odors, hydrogen sulfide, iron, lead, nickel, chromium, cadmium, calcium, aluminum, mercury, arsenic, and other organic compounds.
KDF water filtration media is a high-purity alloy made from copper and zinc. When used in combination with Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC), it maximizes the filter's efficiency, providing superior water purification.
