Frequently Asked Questions
Will this system affect my water pressure?
Some pressure loss occurs as water passes through filter cartridges. The amount depends on incoming pressure, water demand and cartridge condition. Ask your installer to confirm that the system is suitable for your household's flow requirements.
How often should I replace the cartridges?
Follow the cartridge manufacturer's recommended replacement interval and capacity. Water quality and household usage affect cartridge life. Pressure gauges help identify restriction but do not measure the remaining chlorine-reduction capacity of carbon cartridges.
Which replacement cartridge size does it use?
This system uses 10" x 4.5" jumbo cartridges. Confirm the cartridge type and micron rating when ordering replacements.
Will it filter water at every tap?
It filters water supplied to outlets connected downstream of the installation point. Ask your installer to confirm which household and outdoor outlets will be included.
Can it be installed outdoors?
The system includes a protective cover. Confirm the manufacturer's outdoor installation requirements, including protection from sunlight, weather and frost, before choosing a location.
Can I use it with rainwater or bore water?
This listing is intended for treated town-water applications. Rainwater and bore-water supplies need assessment to determine suitable filtration and any required disinfection. Do not assume this system alone makes untreated water safe to drink.
Who should install the system?
We recommend a qualified plumber to assess your plumbing, confirm pressure and flow requirements, and install the system according to the manufacturer's instructions.
