Description
Introducing the triple set of replacement filters suitable for the TRI-Fluoride system as well as most Jumbo Big Blue and Big White 10" triple Housings. We uphold high standards of quality and hold NSF International Certification. Our filters are certified to meet NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of chlorine, taste, and odor, as well as NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for ensuring the safety of filter components for use in drinking water systems.
Application
For homes on mains/town water supply with chlorinated chemical treated water, for the reduction of chemicals and heavy metals including fluoride.
Filters
1. Polyspun 1 Micron Filter
Purpose: This filter is typically used as a sediment filter. Benefits:
- Particle Removal: Effectively removes fine particles, sediment, rust, and other suspended solids down to 1 micron in size.
- Improves Water Clarity: Enhances the clarity and quality of the water by removing visible particles.
- Protects Downstream Filters: Extends the lifespan of the subsequent filters by preventing larger particles from clogging them.
2. Activated Alumina Filter
For the best results, this filter may need replacing every 2 months
NSF 61-certified granular activated alumina (AA) is a specialized filter media designed to effectively remove fluoride and arsenic from drinking water. Made from aluminum oxide, AA has an exceptionally high surface area, which allows it to adsorb fluoride efficiently. In municipal water supplies, fluoride concentrations are typically around 2 ppm, and AA filters can reduce this to below 0.1 ppm.
Fluoride Removal Efficiency: AA filters are effective at reducing fluoride, with performance typically starting strong and gradually decreasing as the filter becomes saturated. The filter can continue to remove a significant portion of fluoride, depending on the level of saturation and water pH.
If the fluoride concentration is particularly high or the filter is used heavily, the effectiveness may decline sooner.
Note: There is no definitive time frame or capacity for when a fluoride filter should be replaced, nor a guaranteed lifespan. To ensure optimal performance, periodic water testing and filter replacement based on usage are recommended.
