Installation and flushing

  1. Turn off the water supply and release pressure before disconnecting the existing cartridge.
  2. Position the new filter so the flow-direction arrow follows the direction of water flow.
  3. Push compatible tubing firmly into each quick-connect fitting until fully seated.
  4. Before connecting the outlet to an appliance, flush the cartridge into a suitable container for a few minutes to clear carbon dust. Follow the specific instructions supplied with the filter.
  5. Complete the installation, slowly restore the water supply and check all connections for leaks.

To disconnect: Turn off the water and release pressure, then press the release collar towards the fitting while pulling the tubing out.

Pressure protection: A pressure-limiting valve must be installed if excess pressure or water hammer is possible.
