Replacement references listed for this cartridge include MPPTRC1 and EWMTRC1. Match your existing cartridge label, tubing size, connection type and available installation space before purchasing.

This is the push-fit version, not a threaded-connection cartridge. If you are unsure which filter you need, contact NZ Pump And Water Filters with a photo of your current cartridge and fittings.

Installation guide

Remove the existing filter

1. Turn off the water supply to the filter.
2. Open the filtered-water tap to release pressure and drain the line.
3. Press each fitting's release collar towards the fitting while gently pulling the tubing out.

Fit the replacement cartridge

1. Check the flow-direction arrow and position the cartridge with the inlet and outlet facing the correct way.
2. Push the tubing fully into each push-fit connection.
3. Gently pull back on the tubing to check that it is secure.
4. Slowly restore the water supply and check all connections for leaks.
5. Flush the new cartridge according to the instructions supplied with it to clear carbon fines before drinking the water.

For installations feeding an appliance, flush the cartridge to a suitable container before connecting the appliance outlet. A pressure-limiting valve must be installed if excess pressure or water hammer is possible.

Replacement and care

Follow the replacement interval and capacity stated on your cartridge label or supplied Davey instructions. Filter life depends on water quality and usage.
