What Are VOCs?
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are chemicals that can enter drinking water from industrial, agricultural, or household sources. Common examples include formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, ethylene glycol, and xylene. The K5520 is effective at reducing these contaminants.
What Are Cysts?
Giardia and Cryptosporidium are microscopic parasites commonly found in untreated surface water and tank supplies. Cryptosporidium is highly resistant to chlorine — making a 1-micron filter like the K5520 an essential safeguard for rural NZ households.
